The intermediary currency model serves two purposes. First, it smooths out micro-transactions: tipping 25 tokens feels different from authorising a $2.40 bank charge five times per session. Second, it lets platforms set stable in-site economies while localising prices by region without changing the experience.
The names differ by platform:

Stripchat Tokens
Stripchat sells tokens in USD. The entry pack is 90 tokens for $9.99 — about $0.111 per token. Move up to the 520-token pack at $49.99 and the unit price drops to roughly $0.096 per token, the best rate among the standard packs. The largest pack, 2,350 tokens, costs $199.99.
New accounts get 25% extra tokens on their first purchase — one-time only. There is also an hourly raffle for 50 free tokens, but it is luck-based and not guaranteed. Any "token generator" or "promo code hack" site you find elsewhere is a phishing scam; Stripchat does not sanction them.
Payments: Visa, Mastercard, JCB, PayPal, and crypto (USDT, BTC, ETH, USDC). All one-time charges — no recurring billing. Your card statement shows a processor name, not "Stripchat."

Chaturbate Tokens
Chaturbate's entry pack is 100 tokens for $10.99 ($0.11 per token). The mid pack is 200 tokens for $20.99 ($0.105 per token). The 500-token pack costs $44.99, bringing the unit price to about $0.090 per token. Bigger packs continue to reduce the unit cost.
Chaturbate is fundamentally tip-driven: public rooms are entirely free to watch, and most interaction happens through tips toward the model's goal. Private shows exist but are less central than on LiveJasmin or Stripchat.
Note: Japanese models are rare on Chaturbate. If Japanese-language performers are what you are looking for, Stripchat or DXLIVE are better choices.
LiveJasmin Credits
LiveJasmin uses credits, not tokens. The entry pack is 27.99 credits for $26.99 — roughly $0.96 per credit, very close to $1. The mid pack is 55.99 credits for $51.99, and 114.99 credits cost $99.99. As a rule of thumb, one LiveJasmin credit equals one US dollar.
New members get up to 50% off their first purchase (a site-wide promotion; some models show 70% off). After that, the credit price returns to standard.

Some models go as low as 8–12 tokens per minute. At 30 tokens per minute and $0.096/tk (520-pack rate), a 10-minute session costs 300 tokens, or roughly $28.80.
On Chaturbate, per-minute rates tend to be lower because most models make the bulk of their income from public tips rather than private sessions. On LiveJasmin, private show rates fall into price-filter groups: most models sit in the 1–5 credits per minute range, with a median around 3.5 credits per minute and top performers charging 9.99+ credits per minute.

Exclusive Private and Spy Mode (Stripchat)

Do tokens and credits expire?
On Stripchat, Chaturbate, and LiveJasmin, purchased tokens and credits do not expire under normal account activity. DXLIVE points expire 24 months after your last login. Promotional or bonus tokens may carry shorter expiry windows — check the terms when claiming them.
Can I get a refund on unused tokens?
Major cam sites do not offer cash refunds for purchased tokens or credits. Some provide account credit in the case of technical errors. Read the refund policy before your first purchase if this matters to you.
Is there a subscription charge just for having an account?
